MAKE YOUR PICKS
Each week you'll be given 1000 fantasy points to assign to the designers based on your confidence in which designer will; 1) win the design challenge and 2) get eliminated. You'll also choose 3) who you think will be HGTV's new Design star.
1) Guess the Design Challenge Winner - In each episode, the Design Star finalists will complete at least one design challenge. Their work will be rated by the judges and in some cases they'll choose a winner. Correctly guess the challenge winner and you'll receive the number of points you wagered on that contestant. Assign points to one designer or spread your points across multiple players to increase your chances.
2) Guess Who Will be Eliminated - In each episode, the judges will eliminate finalists based off their design work. Some episodes will have one elimination while others will have two. Correctly guess which contestants will be eliminated and you'll receive the number of points you wagered on those contestants. Assign points to just the designer(s) you think will be eliminated or spread your points across multiple players to increase your chances.
3) Guess the Design Star - In this game you'll choose who you think will ultimately be HGTV's new Design Star. You can make your choice at any time during the season. However, the sooner you submit a correct prediction, the more points you will earn. Please note that this game has no bearing on the results of the show.

SCORING
Weekly Scoring
If your selections in the available weekly games match the actual outcome in the show, you'll receive the points you wagered. The player with the highest total weekly score wins! For example, if a user is split on which designer will be eliminated in a particular week and assigns 500 points to Designer A and 500 points to Designer B, and Designer B is eliminated that week, the user will be awarded 500 points. If, however, Designer C is eliminated, the user receives 0 points for the week.
Overall Scoring
Weekly scores will be totaled for an overall score. Additionally, you will receive points based off correctly choosing which designer wins the show. The sooner you submit a correct prediction, the more points you will earn. A registered user who correctly predicts the winner of Design Star Season 2 will earn points using the following calculation:

For example, if a participant predicts the ultimate winner to be Designer B on August 10, 2007 and Designer B wins the competition, the participant will be awarded 2,960 fantasy points (8 designers left x 37 days remaining to final episode , with the resulting number x 10 = 2,960). A players weekly point totals combined with the points earned for correctly choosing the new Design Star will determine their overall score. This overall score determines the end of contest winner for Fantasy Design.

BONUS POINTS
In the Guess Challenge Winner game, if you correctly assign all 1,000 points to the designer who wins the show's design challenge, you will earn an additional 500 bonus points. For example, if you assign all 1,000 points to Designer A in the Guess Challenge Winner game, and Designer A wins the show's design challenge, you would be awarded 1,500 points. In the Elimination game, if you correctly assign all 1,000 points to the designer who is elminated, you will earn an additional 500 bonus points. For example, if you assign all 1,000 points to Designer B in the elimination challenge and Designer B is eliminated during the show's elimination, you would be awarded 1,500 points.

In weeks where two designers are eliminated, if you assign 500 points to each of the designers who are eliminated, you will earn an additional 500 bonus points.

LEAGUES
You can create private leagues to play with your friends and co-workers. When creating a league, you will be asked to enter a league name and password which can be used by your friends to join at anytime. No separate prizes will be awarded for leagues.
